is to ignite prayer in the church of St. Louis to bring unity to the church and strength to the city.
OUR STOry
A Brief Timeline
2017 & 2018
Before there ever was Pray For The Lou we were praying every Wednesday from Noon - 1pm for St. Louis. This gathering was a response to the turmoil in St. Louis and with a desire to bring the body of Christ together to pray for St. Louis and act together.

2019
After leading Noon - 1 prayer for over a year the Lord invited us to step out in prayer. For a year we had cried out asking for a city and Jesus to unite the body of Christ. Our efforts felt futile as our weekly prayer gathering was small and didn't seem to have much impact. In a moment of clarity we asked the Lord, "Do you want us to keep praying every week for an hour or is there something else?

The answer to this question was if you want the land and want to see the change you are praying for I want you to prayer walk every St. Louis City Neighborhood. We said yes to the Lord in this challenge and begin a 10 month process of prayer walking all 79 St. Louis City Neighborhoods

As we were almost finished prayer walking all 79 City Neighborhoods the Lord asked us another question, "What if on one day at the same time the Church of St. Louis filled all 79 neighborhoods with prayer walking?"

2020
Answering the above question led to "Pray For The Lou Day" on 3/14/20 as we mobilized the church to prayer walk all 79 neighborhoods at the same time. Believers from all over the region participated and then we gathered at Cardinal Ritter High School on the Delmar Divide to worship as one and declare, "What is Divided Will Be United."

2021
We opened up prayer walking on Pray For The Lou Day to the whole region and had over 60 churches participate at the same time. Leading up we had 8 different regional prayer rallies in one week. After we prayer walked then we joined in on a virtual worship celebration with watch parties and different worship and prayer leaders involved and local pastors. It was powerful time! If you missed it you can see it here:

2022
We had Pray For The Lou Day with over 50 churches prayer walking at the same time. Then we gathered together in Ferguson at January Wabash park for a time of worship and prayer that kicked us off into 21 Days of Prayer. During the 21 Days of Prayer we went through the Tears For St. Louis Prayer Guide. In the morning we had a live on site video devotional, a noon prayer walk and an evening gathering to respond to all we were learning about.

2023
On Pray For The Lou Day we had over 50 churches prayer walk across the region and then we gathered in Fairground Park in North St. Louis to worship and pray. This time was kickoff for Nothing Impossible Week where we put up a tent in Fairground Park for worship celebration, prayer saturation and gospel proclamation. It was a powerful week of being the church and blessing the community.

2024
We had PFTL 50 which was 50 non-stop hours of worship, prayer and The Word from downtown St. Louis. We lifted the name of Jesus high and had over 40 churches participate in prayer walking simultaneously.
